Visualize your data

The image below is a typical row-column representation of data. If you were interested in the number of customers in each county in the United States you would have to look at over 3000 rows of data. Of course you could have it sorted by the highest number of customers by county. If for example Pinal County AZ, with 11 customers. were one of the top counties - you might ask how many customers are in the counties adjacent to Pinal County. Of course these counties are way down the list several pages and they are not listed together.

What if you had a mapping program that colored the number of customers by county so that you could view all 3000+ rows of data at the same time. It might look like the image below.

Or what if you would like to know the TREND of an area or a state. How are they concentrated? What products go to what customers? Do we have our distribution set up to meet the customers needs?
