REVOLUTIONARY VISUAL DELIVERY MANAGER
SOFTWARE PACKAGE
SAVES PROPANE DEALERS THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ANNUALLY.
. . .
Mpls, Mn. . . .Nucomm Data Inc. announces the development and
successful installation of it's new software package entitled Visual
Delivery Manager. The
Delivery Manager software maintains customer data and degree day readings;
automatically calculating when customers require refills and
automatically scheduling delivery by route.
The program enables the Delivery Manager to provide each driver
with a printed schedule and delivery maps for their route, with
deliveries prioritized based on need.
The package also includes a Query Assistant module and a Mapping
module. The Query Assistant module permits the user to rapidly
retrieve information such as Route Delivery Gallons, or Delivery History
by customer from the database. This
permits the user to balance routes based on actual gallons delivered.
Therefore, in times of peak demand, this enables the user to
reroute low volume drivers. New customers may be added more economically because of the
efficiencies built in to balance routes.
In addition, management has complete driver control and can
measure the efficiency of both drivers and delivery.
Equally important, is the availability of data to the managers
for forecasting fuel needs, new truck purchases and customer route
assignment.
The Mapping module provides visualization for route
schedules and provides for the ability to customize maps for each
driver. This Dynamic
Interactive Mapping feature makes the driver more efficient by
visualizing their route before they ever leave the barn.
Other advantages to the Windows based program, is it's ease of
installation, flexibility, minimal PC hardware needs and the personal
customer service provided by Nucomm technicians.
Brian Carlson, Petroleum Manager for Nuway Coop Headquarters of
Trimont, Minnesota which has over 3,500 customers with more then 4,000
tanks, said of the Nucomm Data Degree Day Delivery Manager Software
Program: "I cannot say enough good things about the program.
Since we have implemented it, we have been able to eliminate two
drivers. This saves us
about $35,000 per driver or $70,000 annually. Then add to this the cost
of one Bobtail, we have another $70,000 in savings.
Look what it has done for our drivers?
With the mapping system that the program provides, our drivers
automatically know which customers are first to receive their fuel.
In addition, the drivers are given maps and their daily delivery
runs. As a result our
drivers are far more efficient, customers know that they will never be
without fuel and we at Nuway have considerable cost savings.
Brian went on to say, "I cannot see how anyone in our
industry can get along without the Nucomm program.
Even our fills are bigger.
Before they would average from 200 to 250 gallons.
Now they run from 300 to 350 gallons.
Just look at the savings we are making just by eliminating one
fill. And then we have the
ease of operation. It is so simple that even I who has absolutely no
computer skills, can run it. It
is as easy as ABC to work with. After using this software program for
our petroleum operation, I just don't see how anyone in the business can
get along without it. Oh
yes, one other thing, in the event that we lose a driver, think how
quickly and simply it will be to train the replacement both in routing
and customer knowledge."
Kevin Jones, Manager
Technical Support for Nuway Coop says this of the program:
"This is the most user friendly program I have ever worked with.
It is just great and so easy to use.
Equally important is the technical support that we receive from Nucomm
and their staff. I just
don't know how we ever got along before.
Then we had an Excel spread sheet and frankly there is no
comparison."
In announcing the development of the program, Chuck Collins,
President of Nucomm Data Inc. said that "we are extremely
proud that after several years of development and field testing, we now
are able to provide to the propane industry this revolutionary "Degree
Day Delivery Manager Software" which saves tens of thousands of
dollars to propane dealers and assures customers that their fuel needs
will always be met. In
addition, it greatly assists the delivery drivers in simplifying their
work, making them more efficient and assures them that their customers
will be satisfied."
